Ok I can't decide want I am going to do in detail with my truck. So I have questions for what other people did with similar setups. I have a 97 ranger. Currently swapping in a 4.0l and m5od-r1 hd. 4.56 front and rear Detroit lockers and explorer 8.8 swap with Dana 35.

I am getting the skyjacker 6" class 2 lift. I am getting either 35s or 36s by 12.5. Has anyone done this with just fendering trimming. Do 36s clear everything with a 6" lift and fendering trimming? Do the 36s hit the frame at all with that lift? And how much fendering trimming does it take to clear 35 or 36? Pics are always welcome :)

I had a 6 inch lift on my B2 with a Dana 28. My 33x12.5's Hit the bottom corner of the front fenders when I hit a hard bump. Also with the steering at full lock, the leading edge of one tire would rub my sway bar while the trailing edge of the other tire rubbed the radius arm. I'm not sure how much different our spacing would be, but that's my experience.

The spacing is different from the ranger to the bronco. But good info for my buddies with broncos. They all come to me for rbv info lol. I know with a 6" lift and 33 on the ranger clears everything without problems. I have a 91 on 35s but they are wore. And I never wheeled it and it has a 4" lift and 2" body. But that's not going to flex like the 6" skyjacker will lol

come on. there has to be someone out there that runs 36x12.5r15 or 35x12.5r15 with a skyjacker lift.

I have a 1993 ranger with no lift and bad springs. I cut the fenders usng he factory moldin to trace nd I'm rnning 33x12.50's I have no issues. With al that lift, you'll be fine with 35's. 36 aren't much different, go with the cheaper size tire.

You're DEFINITELY going to want to regear. Clearance shouldnt be an issue. Im running a 3" body lift and leveling coils and Im running 35's. The issue your gonna run into is turning that big rubber.

4.56 is plenty of gearing for 35s and a 4.0l to push it wont be a problem. i just really want to run 36s without a body lift. but yeah if the price difference is way cheaper for 35s then i will go that route if the tire model i want has both 35 and 36

I would not go more than 35's if you are using it for a dd. That gas milage is gonna kill you on the road every day even with 35's. The price of gas will be over $4.00 for 87 octane in a few weeks. Think about that. Your truck will look good of course. I run 33x12.5 BFG KO tires and I love them. They look great and I get 24 mpg on the highway (not hauling a load).

well i have a company truck every other week. i do roadside for benz every other week. so i dont drive it that much. and i really dont drive too much outside going to work and back and thats only 20 miles a day. so i am not too worried about gas mileage. plus i went from driving my 351c in my mustang to the ranger so i pretty much double my gas mileage so i am happy lol.
