:icon_hornsup:i want to lift my 93 stx 3" inches. i understand i can use blocks in rear. but what is the cheapest easiest way for me to lift the front? iwould like to lift it the cheapest way i can find. i use the truc mostly for hunting and would like a lil extra hieght. dont really need more than three inches, just want lil bigger tires. ty:icon_thumby:

Well....you just happened across the right person!

I have a set of Ranger highrider brackets. They are for a 2" drop. My brackets along with a set of 2" leveling coils, and a 1" spacer....that'll get your 3". I'll take $130 shipped for the set I have.

In the front anything over 2" is almost impossible to align with stock brackets.

For the sake of safety, this is probably the best way. Actually you could probably get 4" safely.

body lifts are cheap, add a leafs shackles and coil spacers are relatively cheap as well
explorer leafs and f150 springs can be had at many o junkyard for dirt cheap with little modification needed
look in the tech library, there are articles on cheap lifting

But, once again those will only good up to 1.5 to 2" of lift, with exception of the F-150 coils.

He wants 3".

Here was my 93 with 3'' BL and coil spacers in the front. Granted I would go with the bigger coils than spacers. Cant really tell but it is level with the back but like Ranger44 said it's close to impossible to align without those brackets. Guess with those spacers my truck was sitting 5 inches total in front.

thanks for help...new idea here

dsfd that truck is sweet looking.......im considering only 2". maybe then i dont have all those alignment issuses and brake extentions and so on..i can get my 31" tires on while stock, but looks if the tires where hammered into the wheel wells. 2 more inches may help and give a lil more clearance. i dont want to spend big moneys on this and dont want to use up too much weekend time on this.

btw

by the way....i have a 3" body lift but only going to use it at last resort. dont like how the body and bumpers line up after that lift. if i knew how to get them looking nice i may add that to my list of wants also. ty:icon_cheers:

I wished I hadn't sold that truck. The BL I had on it actually came off my 92 which did not have bumper brackets. The guy that did my exhaust had a shop at home where he fabricated suspension lifts. He used my stock bumper brackets on the front and just modified them to raise the front bumper. Which by looking at the pic to me worked great. For the rear bumper I used 1/4" steel plate and drilled holes to raise the bumper. I didn't have a reese hitch on it but with that plating I still pulled a trailer with the ball on the bumper and never had any problems. I got some more pics at home from different angles in case you wanna see more how it looks with the BL.

If 2" is all you want then go to the hardware store and snag a bunch of big washers. Stack them under the coil. Remember the TTB has a 1.5" leverageing affect. You stack 1 1/4 of spacers, you get around 2" of lift.

Or add the factory 2wd F-150 sapcers-

Or a set of leveling coils-

I do advise you get a set of adjustable alignment bushings. They are a 2 piece bushing.
