31s well fit with no lift.

Theres a thread in the 2wd section all about 2wd lifts check that out.

thats what i've been reading but i think with the 3 inch and the 31s would look pretty good on my little truck

Before you do anything you need to check your warranty and see what it says about adding a lift kit...just to make sure. I waited until I had 12,000 miles on my 99 Ranger that I bought new before I lifted it. I put on 3 inch spindle lift from Fabtech, 2 inch taller coils springs from Springhtech and I added a 4 inch add-a-leaf system from Procomp and Procomp shocks (that were the right length for my suspension lift). I have been running this setup since 2000 and never had any issues. The spindle lift and taller coil springs give my Ranger a very nice ride and the truck handles great. I am running 33x12.5x15 BFG KO AT tires and I love them. I take it trail riding and haul my 17 boat out in the boondocks at times to go flats fishing. Here are some photos for you:

I'm pretty sure I only had a 12 month 14k mile warranty and I've had the truck since last May and have 15k on it now, but I think the 33's might be a little big for my 4cyl and a had 31's on my Bronco and liked the size. and thats a nice looking truck.

Thanks, Bro. I had 35's on my early Toyota 4x4 trucks. The 22R motor pulled them with ease, but of course I had to regear the front and rear. I have a 4.0 motor in my Ranger with a 4:10 rear gear. I get 24 mpg on the highway with the truck. Not as good gas milage in stop and go traffic. It drops down to about 18-19 mpg around town.

I think the important question is.... does it have coil springs or is it a torsion bar front suspension?

If it's a torsion bar, best you can hope for is 2" unless you can find 2wd lift spindles for a torsion bar suspension.

If it's coil sprung, you have options but nothing is going to be cheap.

Its coil spring.

I saw Rancho makes a 2" lift for coil springs, looked super easy to install.

And you're sure of this how?

Some of the new 2wds came with torsion bar instead of coil. Used to be that only the Edge and Trailhead models got torsion bars but not anymore.

it has coils up front. I went to 4wheel parts here in Raleigh today and they quoted me $2300 for rims, 31x10.5x15 bfg's , and a lift install all around, i would just have to bring the lift components. I wanted to keep the stock rims because i like them, and i felt like $900 for labor was a rip off. i want to do this doetsch 3 inch in the front but it says it only goes up to an 05' model year...will it fit mine? was looking at some cheaper tires as well. was looking to spend $1000 on the lift and about $600 on the tires...kind of a tight budget

and i figured i'd do these shackles in the back will upgraded shocks

thank you guys for the help!

Small damn world... Hey Bajerski, remember this truck from HS?

How's it been?

And the 63059 lift looks promising. No need for shackles as the Doetsch spindle lift comes with blocks.
