lift and tires?

Me with the truck sporting 7" of lift... and I'm 6' tall.

Just remember, 93+ rangers have larger wheel arches

my truck i believe has 3.73 gears, so 35s i'm thinkin are out of the option right now, i'm thinking what i may do is lift the truck, my buddy has a of 33's that i can mock up on there, if i like em ill pick em up, if not i guess time to re gear and hello big boots

He's got the 4.0L so it kinda depends on what gears are in his axles. If he's lucky enough to have 4.10 gears, then he'd be alright on 35's. I have 4.10s in my choptop with old bias ply 33's and a 2.9L with no problems.

Yeah but I mean 35's is a heck of alot more rubber.... You would be way happier with better gearing. I'm gonna go 4.56's and 33's with my 3.0L.

The radial 35's I have actually do not seem to weigh any more than my old bias ply 33's. And it would only be another inch taller.

Yes, 4.56 or 4.88 would be better. I'll probably run one of those when I put 35's on. But a 4.0L should have no trouble turning 35's with 4.10s, it wouldn't be a race truck, but it would be do-able for a lil while until you could regear.

hell id stuff 35 inch tires with 3.73 gear....why not? u have 4LOW on ur transfer case for a reason! so what if u dont win any drag races! so just take ur tranny out of OD all the time and with the 35 inch tires ur 1:1 basically becomes ur OD because ur rpm will drop significantly with the larger tires! works really well!

my problem is not when i'm in the back coutry f***in around the bush, i was thinkin more so still keepin it a DD and thinking some fuel mileage on the high way would not be a bad thing

Seriously though, for a 6" lift on your truck, 33's are going to look small. I have a set of 33's on my choptop with around 7" of lift and they look small, soon as I can get another two 35's and some rims for 'em, I'm goin to 35's.

Agreed ! i have 33 pro comps and they look kinda small with only a 3" BL. I think anything bigger than 3" lift you might as well spend the money and do it all the way with some gears and 35's and it will look sick.

also if you decide on the 35's you are going to want to go to a 15x10 rim. i got 15x8 and kinda regret it

whats the down side of the narrower rim? to much flex on the tire>??

It becomes a lil more difficult to get the beads of the tire on the rim and it sucks the sidewalls in substantially and cups the tread area so you get a funny wear pattern if you don't run it at a really low tire pressure.
