My idler pully seized and snapped off of its mount. I wasnt sure if it was my belt or that pully for about a week. I found out which it was about 2 blocks from work on a friday night. Burnt the shit out of my arm fishing that damn pully and the belt out from the front end of the truck.Idlers go, but it's uncommon and they rarely make a squeal when they die. It's usually more of a rough, rubbing sound, metal on metal kinda stuff. Belts squeal.
try the blend door actuator module first
