lexan windows

Get an extension cord and cut the female end off of it. strip the wires back about 2 inches.

take it out to your truck and route it so that it is not easily seen and have it go up into the engine compartment. take off the radiator cap and put the stripped end into the radiator. close the hood. go back to the house and plug the cord in.

When you hear the scream, unplug the cord and pull it back to the house, then use a tire iron on the perp.

Note, you might want to make sure that your truck is definitely on your property (and not on the street) where an innocent bystander or jogger or pedestrian can come into contact with the vehicle..

Note... this may cause your circuit breaker to trip...

also note... this will probably roast your electronics in your truck...

also also note...you can probably go to jail if you are caught...

So probably not a good idea, but it is a nice fantasy to think of the perp lying on the ground twitching as his eyes roll back into his head and pisses himself after getting a full 110 volts as he tries to open the door...

You, Sir, are a genius!

Im trying to figure out how the perp is completing the circuit unless he has no shoes on... Also your talking about the hot side of the cord being placed in the rad. Correct.

The lexan should be able to make the bend on its own but, if you want it to keep that form in a free state (not sure why you would need it to for this but hey, what the hell) you should be able to get the curvature with a heat gun and some patience. Good luck if you take this route. I think the 45acp/12ga slug/electric shock ideas sound better though.

I don't believe it would work but it's still funny. Maybe if you isolated the door from the cab somehow and set the cab to ground and the door to 120v positive then left it unlocked? (I know it's not practical or easily done, I'm thinking theoretically)

Or isolating the door handle and the body being the ground... Im trying to think how to protect any car electronics... You would almost have to shunt "use a diode" on every ground except the battery, no regular diode can withstand the cranking amps, to prevent back feed... At least on the electronics... Radio, ecm, gem, etc

im not to crazy on electricity(i actually hate it always get shocked) but im a welder lol
maybe some razors under the door handles.....

and wouldnt the door be seperate from the cab since the weather strip around the door is rubber

If you've ever been wearing shoes and touched a live wire, you will know that you can still feel the juice. The only way to be able to touch a live wire without getting shocked is to wear electrical hazard rated footwear. Then as long as you don't ground yourself, you're fine.

But really, 110/120 isn't all that much. I've been hit with it a number of times. Kind of tickles after awhile.

If you want to really protect your truck, surround it with a good horse fence, the electric kind. That has a little more bite to it.

Oh, and for who mentioned about how are the doors not isolated because they have the rubber gasket? You're forgetting the hinges, lol.

Y would I do that my insurance will just keep going up besides my ratez just sdnt down cuz I just turned 25

Because my insurance might only go up 200 a year and it has paid for its self between 2 vehicles I've had 5 windshields replaced this year due to rocks

Just get a couple of really big rrottweilers and only feed them once a week :icon_rofl:

Door latches too. it would be a total pain in the ass to isolate the door from the body!

The razor blades idea isn't half bad though. :icon_thumby:

thats $200 that i dont have to pay for extra insurance and not willing to pay for
as is im already paying 160 for 2 cars

Damn straight LP and thanks.

i dont call the cops either theyre ****ing idiots around here!!
if i could watch my truck from where they hit it i would stand by the window and wait with my .38
but since i have to park around the corner of my building i cant watch it

i might just install motion spot lights around my truck for a while

Shoot them in the face point blank with a 12 gauge slug and throw them on their mammas porch. Why the hell do you lower 48ers willingly bend over for ghetto scum!? lexan won't fix the problem, lead will.:annoyed:

This is the only valid logic in my book. They broke in plain and simple. Remember one important thing, shoot to kill not wound. Dead people cannot testify in court. Shoot first then call 911. Simply state 'I stopped someone from doing bodily harm to me while I was getting out of my truck and had to use lethal force.' Taking a life is nothing to take lightly but these funkers have it coming. Let them have it with both barrels.

Just in case you do not realize this, I am a vet and take the security of my personal property seriously.
