leveling kit my ranger?

hey guys new to the forum, just saw a couple clips on youtube about MAKING a leveling kit for the front suspension with a bolt extender and a bunch of washers. Curious if anyone else had seen or done these methods didn't see anything for the rear suspension, your feed back would be appreciated!

People do that to level out the front because the back end sits 1" higher so they will usually space the front up 1" to get it level. I don't remember what years qualify for this though because I know the coil springs from 98 to present wont work because the coils stay the same through out the spring but earlier springs funnel in at the top allowing the washers to make contact between the spring and mount.

that method works on any first to 3rd gen. being a 97 you qualify.

That method seems kind of sketchy what I did was bought some f150 coils and lifted it that way I think theres a how to on the tech page

@irishblessing, how high does it lift it, and do you swap leaf springs as well? Got any pictures of yours posted?

i bought and would suggest buying leveling coils. i got the skyjacker 132x coils. i didnt measure how much lift i actually got but they were the only company that said 2" as opposed to 1.5". i like them. you never know how much your old springs are sagging or how worn out they are anyway being a 97

so i've decided on the belltech's and putting the sky jack spacer in the front, thanks for all the imput guys been wicked helpfully!!
