im thinking of adding a pair of foglights to aid my low beams especially, but im not sure where to mount them. I was thinking of doing the whole stock location thing, but then id have to find the parts and I dont know if i want them that low. Then i thought on the bumper but i feel like if I go too high I won't get enough light on the road where I want it.

So post up a pic or 2 of where you have your foglights. Preferably on gen 3 2wd but others are cool too:icon_thumby:

And also reccomend me some lights. there are wayy to many options to choose from. thanks

What size(diameter wise, not sure what stock is) are the lights and how are they mounted? Are they wired using the stock wiring, relay, etc.? thanks

I think they are 4". The brackets they came with worked...i just had to flip them around so the threaded stud would go through the hole in the frame piece and center the light in the valence.

4 sounds right. i guess i'll have to go take a look around at some stores and see what I can find

Mine are 4" from O'Reilly's and fit perfect into the factory Ford valance.:icon_thumby:

i like mine right where they are, and pretty bright, i got 2 hella optilux 2500's got em for 60 bucks off of autoanything.com website i really like em very easy to install comes complete with everything you need mounting brackets, relay wiring harness, all you have to do is figure out where your going to get power from.

Foglights work best mounted lower

The lower you mount them the better they work.

Just make sure you aim them correctly, one thing that personally
pisses me off is guys who drive around wiht them on all the time
and aimed too high, so they shine in my eyes...

a properly aimed foglamp illuminates NOTHING higher than the light
is mounted

you want to aim them against a brick or concrete wall with the truck
parked atleast 50feet from the wall.

01-03 4x4 front bumper with 4" round fogs, and another set in the front bar, since they were with a great discount i let pass the fact that the lens is blue, so to match it a bit more i replaced the headlight bulbs for blue ones too.
gives decent lightning considering theyre cheapies :D

Damn dont get me started on the "running the lights when you dont need them" kick!Sorry this has nothing to do with the OP's question but this is a major peave of mine....It makes me want to beat their lights out with a baseball bat.
