My left brake light doesn’t work but the taillight is fine. Please see video.

I replaced the bulb a few weeks ago (after this happened the first time) and everything was working. Now it’s doing it again.

Any thoughts?

Take the new bulb out and put it back in. See if it tries to work. If it does, you might have a socket problem. Also when you have the bulb out, inspect the filaments carefully. Quality of new parts, including bulbs, has been way down lately.

Thanks for the tip. I had an extra socket from when I replaced the taillight housing a few months ago so went ahead and swapped that one in. The old one looked all burnt, so that may have been the reason. So far so good: taillight and brake light are working. Will keep you posted on whether it burns out again.
