So my buddy got a 50 inch light bar for his jeep. 300 watt. Its bright. I want one. I was wanting to run a bigger bar above the cab. And a smaller one on my bumper. Or atleast I think that's where I want them.

What places have you guys mounted them. Also would you put like flood on the bumper and spot on top or a mix on top or spot on bumper? I'm thinking about like 24 inches for the front and 50ish for the roof light.

I don't do the LED bars, I run the classic rounds, but I think they make mounts that go on the sides of the inside door frame.

I like the round hid lights personally. But ive been wanting to try some led bars on my other trucks

I had previously looked at hids but there the same price as a cheap led light bar. So I wanted halogen. Was looking at 8 inch pro comp explorer 300 watts.

Im getting my hids at around 40$ a piece for the 4"
1500 lumens

An ebay supplier who back doors them. Just bought 5 for 210$
55w 6k spot and flood beam
He also has 4300k

I have the apollo series KC hilites, I would have got HID's but they didn't look right with the pure white color. I got a good deal on my KC's, and with a 23 year warranty and made in america, I am happy to pay a little more.

I don't like how the hids make a glare on things. Plus there almost too bright. I think a 300 watt halogen would work fine for me. But I cant run 4 at a time can I?

You would need you need 120+ amp alt... This is why I like the hids. 4 of the 55w would only require 20-30 amp higher alt over stock... And still produce the same output as a the halogens... I don't mind the little glare mine have...
