Leatherman Multi-Tools

They are handy, but I have no need to carry one. Things don't break around here very often.

I've carried a Leatherman for over 20 years. I don't leave home without it. In that time I've had three replaced under the 25 year warranty. Two of them just plain wore out... and the third was on it's way to being worn out.

Leatherman's warranty is just plain awesome. I sent in a PST Supertool abut 4 months ago for warranty. They'll send you an equvilant tool to yours if they don't have an exact replacement. I'd called Leatherman and expected an equivlant tool... as that had been out of production for several years. About 4 weeks later the replacement tool arrived.

But I couldn't stand it any longer and bought a smaller Leatherman to carry in the mean time. Now I have one to give to one of the Grandsons. They're an awsome tool.

Do you need to have the original receipt for it if you are sending it in for warranty?

I've had a couple for years now...not sure what make...but they've rarely been used...this weekend my brother's can opener broke and we were searching everywhere for one...then I remembered my mullti had an old style can opener...had that can opened in about twenty seconds...it is not easy to do at first, especially since the cans have been redesigned since the day those were used...but it worked...I will try to see what make they are though...

probably MIC...

Leatherman "Pulse" here. Carried a Leatherman for over 10 years now; comes in very handy on the job and off.

In the "Old Days" you used to be able to go to any Leatherman Dealer and ask for a warranty replacement. Those days are over; now you just send it into Leatherman with a letter telling them what's wrong. It's as simple as that.... no orignal receipt necessary.
