First let me say that I am a returning user. I haven't posted in a very long time. I had a computer crash. And lost my user-name/password and decided to just re-register to everything I couldn't remember.

My ranger has had the notorious lean for quite some time now.

I think the shackle mount is busted on the left side.
I'm sure its covered on a thread here somewhere.

Can anyone recommend what parts I should replace? And where to get them?
Should I just get all dealer parts?
The truck doesn't owe me nothing. I've owned it since day one. It now has 238, 000 miles on it. The 4WD doesn't work , it needs a blower motor resistor, its leaning to the left-alot!, the oil pan is leaking oil.
-It need some work...but hey its mine and I like it!

take a look under there and order shackles or whatever you need from rockauto.com or wherever.

New rear springs, adjust the torsion bars, and get an alignment. The gas tank is on the left, so that side has more weight and at 13 years old with over 200k on it I can virtually guarantee that a few leafs on each side are cracked.

mines only 7 years old with 74k miles and it leans to the right, should i also do the same?

That or get a fat babe for a girlfriend to balance out the weight of the gas tank. :icon_twisted:

with my 94 at 200k miles I had a shackle completely rusted away so my passenger spring was resting on the bottom of the truck bed for who knows how long. Bought a new shackle and hanger and now the spring tension isn't the same on the right as it is on the left, giving me a bad lean. I need new(er) springs to balance it out again.

Just my experience.

Pull some leafs out of an Explorer, replace the shackles, all should be good.
