Two questions about leaks. First, I had the A4OD rebuilt in April of this year. The shop had the truck for almost two months trying to fix a fluid leak. They finally gave it back to me and it seemed OK. However, a couple of weeks ago I spotted some ATF on the driveway. Checked the tranny fluid and it was a bit low. Crawled underneath and found ATF on the bottom of the pan. So it went back to the shop and it's been there since. Any suggestions/advice? (The trans job has a one year warranty.)

Second, I seem to have a leak somewhere in the power steering system. I can't locate a specific spot for the leak but the frame under the steering box is wet with ATF. Is there a "normal" place where these systems generally leak? Pump, hose, steering box?

If it wasn't for the transmission fluid being low I'd wonder if the power steering leak wasn't blowing back on the transmission pan.

Your pitman seal could be going bad on the steering box. It has to be pulled and disassembled to replace the seal.

4lod leak

I would check the cooling hoses for the tranny where it hooks to the radiator ect. that would explain trans oil up front and the the oil in the trans low
