Leaking Brake Fluid?

Yeah, I hate brake fluid. Never bled a brake master cylinder before. :/

I ordered the M/C from Rock Auto. Picking up brake booster from Autozone tomorrow. They had to special order one.

Well, that was fast. I had a master cylinder waiting on my doorsteps when I came home today. :)

Brake booster should be in today also.

I'll do this tomorrow.

Just make sure and bench-bleed the M/C before you install it. I replaced mine a couple of years ago and it came with instructions.

Yeah, this one also came with instructions and says to bench bleed.

Will do.

Good for you - You know how to bleed the rest of the system once you replace it right? Right rear cylinder, left rear, front right then front left. Not trying to be insulting or anything. I bleed my whole system every 3-4 years on every car I've owned and never had brake problems. Well, except for my front right caliper that goes "squeak, squeak, squeak" as I'm driving.:annoyed:

Yeah. I've bled the brakes on my Jeep ast least 4 times in the past year: when I replaced a broken brake line, when I installed extended hoses, when had to replace the calipers, and when I swapped in an 8.8.

I figure it's the same :D

I just hate doing it by myself. I've got one of them "one man" tools (which is how I get it to good enough), but I don't like it.

I let my girlfriend do the pedal. It makes her feel important.

Got this done.

Bled the brakes...not sure how satisfied I am with them. I'm going to take it for a test run.

I found the brake sensor plug. It was buried and tied behind some wires. I cleaned it out and plugged it in and it seems to work (A "Brake" light flashes when I start the vehicle now).

Took it for a test drive...works just fine.

Yay! :)

Haha, yeah. It looks really out of place. The only thing that matches is the water pump replaced last year.

i know how that is tho.. always makes me realize how dirty the engine bay actually is.
when that one part is super clean and shiny it makes the rest look really really bad. and bugs the crap out of me.. but i deal. close the hood and forget it! lol.
