Leak in clutch hydraulics- where?

Well, the clutch reservoir mysteriously stoped draining, so i am holding my breath... I bought some bp blaster, so if it starts draining again I will try that first. Clutch still has some life in it I reckon, so I am glad.

your clutch reservoir, mysteriously, stopped draining because the pb blaster expanded and rejuvenated the rubber cup's lip, just enough, in the cylinder's bore, to stop the brake fluid from leaking past it, as I had said, before, and knew it would..

just one of many tricks, I've learned from experience, for an easy fix, to solving a problem, such as you were having..

If/when you replace the clutch, I recommend getting your flywheel resurfaced or replaced as well. I just replaced my clutch and flywheel. The cheapest clutch set I found was at Autozone. Included (new, not reman) clutch disc, pressure plate, pilot and throwout bearing, and alignment tool. It was under $130 for the whole kit, and comes with a lifetime warrenty.

Several reasons I recommend resurfacing or replacing the flywheel:
1. The flywheel may be warped, leading to choppy engagement
2. There may be oil or grease "baked" onto the surface
3. There could be damage to the teeth, from a faulty or misaligned starter (as was my case; I replaced the starter as well)
4. Flywheel pitting might be present and will wear out the disc prematurely.

No dude, I bought the stuff, but never used it... It just stopped draining randomly I guess. Might start doing it again though. I suspect that being dry for a little while might have had something to do with fixing it... I have no doubt that your method would have worked, but I never had to use it...

Damn it, it did it again!

The cylinder once again dried up all at once. It has not been happening slowly; It did it within a day or two of driving.

This time I am screwed- It got some air in the lines and the clutch don't work worth a shit now.

I fill the resovoir up every day before work, mine leaks and leaks, not so much when it's warmer though, the slave is bad in mine. I have a new one, just too darn lazy to replace it!

yep, it sucks huh... I hear you on the lazy part, I don't even want to get started on it it is such a pain in the arse...
