so i really need some info on leaf sprung jeep front axles i wanna SAS my ranger and im hell bent on leaf sprung so if anyone could help me out that would be appreciated

You need a front out of a jeep wrangler from the late 80s or 90s It will already be set up for leafs.

But if I'm not mistaken, weren't the YJ's passenger drop?

It's gonna be more work putting in leafs than it would be to run coils and three link.

Get yourself a 95 or newer XJ front end, chop the factory 4 link crap off and weld some spring perches on it. These are the best Jeep axles to use because of the bigger u-joint size and no CAD (center axle disconnect). My rig is set up for coils so I cant help you much beyond that. If I had my rig set up for leafs, it would definately be running some sort of Yota front spring. Whether it be All-Pro, Marlin, or Trail Gear, I've seen the springs in action and they work very well. They are all good products at a good price. Normally they also have a few different spring rates to choose from too.

I built mine on leafs pm me and ill send you pics of how i did it. im on a dana 44 but its the same concept. let me know if i can help
