does anybody have so good leaf springs for a 84 b2 4x4 that doesnt need them and doesnt want alot of money for them cause mine are flat and all the money i get is going for helping paying bills for my mom and trying to save up for a wedding. i am located in chelan washington so if anyone does have some that are in washington close to me hit me up please.:icon_cheers:

check craigslist for someone parting a 4 door explorer, you can get them for cheap usually, I think I paid $40 for mine around 5 years ago... The only special thing you have to do to install them is flip the center bolt around, easy...

ok i wall check that out and yea fliping that bolt is easy to or do u think i could use spings from another spring pack and build a new one?

LanO has some that he is selling, I was gonna buy them, but my money has had to go elsewhere.

Yea...buy used crap and then you have the same problem all over again....lol
Just look at what you are buying first. Go to a scrap yard and look at what they have and then you can see how much life is left in the springs. I have seen a lot of good leaf springs at scrap yards with a lot of life left in them. Talk to the guys there and make a deal on them. They don't want them sitting around for ever so bargain you butt off!!!! Don't buy something without looking at it first, ok??

what would a good sping look like for the b2 as in how nuch arch should still be in them and i think they are called bushings that the bolts go thru just wondering how to check if those are good cause mine are cracked and crumbly

Look for damage (kinks or cracks, rust). Check out the bushings. If they are shot they need to be replaced. That's and extra expense. Look at the arch to the springs to see if they are shot (they should not be flat). A good set of springs will have some arch to it. Most honest scrap yards will not sell you a junk set of springs. They even give some kind of warranty that they are not worn out. Ask the guys there to help you pick out a set of decent leafs. I had a buddy buy a set last month at his local area scrap yard and he got a really nice set of leafs for his early Blazer. He was so happy with the price and that he got a set of decent leafs with a lot of life left in them.

i just swapped my leafs on 84 B II today! they are pretty soft, and bushings are worn out. i put in explorer leafs, didnt have to flip the bolt! got 2 1/2" lift! was a little dissapointed when i did the front coils though, only got 3/4" lift there. if you want my old springs, you can have them, but may have to wait for the pass to open! i would even meet in winthrop or twisp, i go over there several times a year
