Hey all,
I have a broken leaf spring on my 92 Ranger 4WD, which currently has a 3 leaf set up. My question is, will a replacement from a 86 2WD with a 4 leaf set up work on my truck, or does it have to come from another 4WD? I do plan on replacing both sides just to be safe.

Thanks,
Jason

The spring rates may be different but AFAIK as long as you replace both sides you should be alright.

Thanks for the reply. I always assumed for some reason that 4wd trucks had beefier springs than the 2wd trucks, but then I found sites selling spring packs for both 2 and 4wd with 3, 4, and 5 springs per pack, that's when I decided to ask you guys.
