Hey, wasn't sure where to post this because its not specific to a ranger, anyways I was hoping someone could explain to me the difference between a leaf spring in say a ranger and one they sell for utility trailers?

That being said, obviously they wouldn't work for a ranger, but what about a much smaller vehicle? Say one weighing roughly 5 - 600 lbs with a maximum speed of 80km/hr for short periods of 5 minutes or less at that speed, other speeds running 50 - 60km/hr regularly. If not why?

what vehicle do you have that only weighs 5-600lbs? if its truly that light and ur going that slow And they fit I wouldn't see an issue at all. I don't know of a trailer out there that can't handle 5-600 lbs. it will probably make for a rough ride and very little suspension travel but go for it and post some pics

Its a scale version of a model T, only a single seater though... I just want to be able to get from my property to the gas station to fill it up once a month or so :)

i would consider 6-1200 pound trailer springs for that.

should be pretty easy to do.
