I the hell do you get the bolts out for the leaf springs? I broke my 3 foot breaker bar, 2 sockets and only got one bolt out by using a cutoff wheel and my sawzall, and that took 2 hours! I don't have access to a torch, so is there any easier way to get them out? All I want to do is change the bushings.:bawling:

wow. i mean i used good old muscle on mine... dont know why yours are so hard to get off... and i live in the salted winter roads state. pb blast the crap out of it lol. i used regular bits but some of my cheapo walmart bits broke. once i got good ones, a socket wrench or impact was plenty with the handle from my jack as a breaker bar. your bolts for shackles are as strong as my torsion bar bolts haha.

did you remove bed? its not needed and many go ohh you had to remove it? like i am an idiot, but it made my job easier. 6 bolts/1 buddy=bye bed. which gives more room to play around.

pb.. and let them soak... spray them hourly for days..

heat, can't even get a propane torch?

Just cut them off and get them leafs out then use a holesaw around the outside rubber and put the new ones in their place.

it was originally a Illinios vehicle, lot's of rust. Will try to find a propane torch. Taking the bed off at this time is not a option once I am by myself. Will go by a crap load of cut off wheels and try again here soon.

i got mine out with a box wrench and BFH, then used a 1/2" ratchet the rest of the way. i put some PB on it 10 minutes before i took them off. no rust down here though.

but i agree, cut those mofo's out

I dont beleive there was any way in hell my leaf bolts would have come out. I was at a shop and they torched them out. Still took them awhile too even with the torch.
