I have an 87 Ford ranger with the 2.3 and i really want to put a header on it without spending the crap tons of money by purchasing an aftermarket one. If i find one from a mid 90s ranger will it bolt right up? The manifold i have on there now with my glasspack is kinda quiet and i want to make it just a hair bit more noise and i want to improve flow a little bit

mine is from a newer mazda I think it was an 03 maybe older a couple yrs than that?
it bolts on but mine had egr holes under the exhaust ports that I drilled and tapped then put in a pipe plug before bolting on the header also i had the egr tube welded shut

Mine came from a 93 Mazda B2300...anything from 93 to 97 will work...and maybe the 2.5 header is the same but I've never actually seen one in the junkyard...must go look...

I think you need one from a 93-94 to have both O2 sensor and EGR bung in it.Of course, the 95-97,s have just the EGR and the O2 is in the down pipe. You can make the header a little better if you cut the whole flange off the end and get a 3 inch piece of pipe bent up for you to go down under the truck then get a 3 to 2 1/2 reducer

yeah you can do that but I chose the stock setup cause it bolted up to my exhisting exhaust. and it won't help flow enough to make much difference also he probably is just using the stock 2" exhaust system anyways.
I changed mine to 2 1/4" with a high flow cat and hooker aerochamber muffler and I maybe gained 5 hp

it will definetly work. when the factory header on my 94 broke, i swaped a manifold from a 92 and it bolted right up.
