Kyle M's Ranger Rebuild

Sounds awesome man.

How's the belly skid look after that trip? :D

Thanks!

The skid has less paint on it, still plenty to keep the rust down. Lol

Lookin good Kyle. On your trans, your losing fluid at steep angles. Try a deeper pan with longer pickup tube...

also, if you have the "deep" factory pan, make sure your getting the right filter that has the extra piece that comes down off it.

I'll see what I can do, I already have the deep pan and pickup. Maybe a baffle in the pan?

I do, thanks.

Started making my front stinger, winch guard tonight. I am happy with it so far, just not sure what I'm gonna do for a fairlead mount, I don't like that part of it. Might just box it in with tube to guide the cable onto the drum and go without the rollers, ill just smash em up anyway lol.

Looks good Kyle. You could use round bar to go out slightly in front of the fairlead (under it, but slightly in front. Look at the one on my explorer) just gusset the bottom to provide the "smashing" support. I plan to do the same to mine

Kyle, I got the tank today, thanks. Did I put a black adapter(that screws on the top of the tank) in the box when I sent it to you, I can't find it. The woman might have moved it, but i couldn't remember if I sent it or not.
I would try a baffle and see if that helps. I'd 'box' in the pickup tube/screen and put about six 1/16 holes at the bottom of the box, this way it retains the fluid while on steep angles without keeping it out of circulation...

I sent you what I got, so no.

We'll see, I wanna wheel it a little more. I need to check my fluid too, could be on the low side causing a issue.

You can also run it about 1/4 to 1/2 quart over full, it won't hurt it...

I know the feeling on wanting to wheel more. When i get SVT done in a couple weeks or less, I'm gonna build another wheeler so when i pull SVT back down for the new frame I won't be without a wheeler. I already got the truck, just need to get the axles, tcases and rubber. That reminds me, I need to pick your brain about frames later...

Finished the bumper and fairlead. Just tubed a Fairlead, gonna switch to rope so this should be fine. Looks nice and clean too.
