Kyle M's Ranger Rebuild

I guess I'll be 2 steps ahead rockin 47's :thefinger: :thefinger: :icon_thumby:
SVT

I wanted 42's just didn't want to spend 2k on tires. I wanted rockers if I didn't get these.

Mud must be alot easier on axle's then rocks

handfull of guys up here runnin 44s on tons with minimal breakage. Not to mention i'm runnin 37's on 44/9 and havent broke (yet)

two guys in the club have broke axles this summer one was the bro's B2 runnin 35's on a 7.5 and the second was 38's on a craped out 10 bolt front. both were ticking time bomb's

How much were these? Didn't you say 1500?

I paid 1200 for them. I was willing to pay that price used considering they are on backorder new. But the Guy gave me a break on shipping so I did pretty good. They are almost like new, just a little rock ash on one of the tires I saw. They even still have the writing in the tread.

I am happy. Now I a choosing beadlocks. Raceline has a buy 3 get one free deal right now...not sure I wanna be that bling but if money is rght I will be.

If I were to do do it over I would of gotten some style aluminum beadlock rim. The steel rims with the diy locks are just so damn heavy.

Oh man, Raceline Monsters in the polished rim with the black rings are teh sex. I'm too busy spending all my money on new-to-me-but-well-used junk to buy nice stuff for any of the rigs.

1200 is a damn good price IMO.

You know, after figuring cost to buy steel wheels and then DIY locks and hardware I will have around $650 into a set. Not to mention all the work involved. The bought beadlocked wheels are looking better and better! We will see, got a bit of time till I need them.

you figure out what you broke yet?

Good.

Anyway....I pulled the tranny to day to find a toasted slave. Gonna have to warranty that. Swapped in a new master slave cylinder for the one I broke too.

I tell ya, it was a pain to drop the tranny. Last time I had a body lift on and it cleared the exhaust no problem, this time it didn't. I had to unbolted the drivers side y pipe at the manifold and of course both bolts broke. Cutting them flush and drilling them out sucked. Got it all done and I should be ready to put it back together after I get the new slave.

Be wheeling in no time!

I found a shot tranny mount and 2 motor mounts the are getting pretty soft too....those will wait till the v8 swap but I have to pick up a tranny mount. Also my crossmember took a few good hits and was wedged in the frame, think I will make a new tube one when I swap motors also.

I don't see anything wrong with the slave. Lol
