Kroussin 93 Explorer build

Get a smart phone, has helped me out so much when it confess to surf like this. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, even a prepaid one can do the job.

for how often I break or loose my phone it wouldnt be worth it. however I am twice as likely to loose or break a phone since I have to carry two. one for work one personal.

Found my camera... here are some pic's

Plan was originally to just cut off and heat shrink the deadends for items no longer being used. Well i had more unused than used so i decided to start pulling wires back to there origin or at least the dash. when I got to the rear doors I realized the only wire's needed in the doors were for speakers. so I decided to eliminate all those dead end wires as well (locks, windows, and door switch) Than I decided to remove the speakers from all 4 doors and relocate for ease of door removal in the future with plans of tube doors (still need manual window regulators for the front)

I am very happy I decided to pull the wires out as everything looks much cleaner now.

The only wires being kept and ran to the taillights is on the right. all the others ended up being eliminated as well

Template for the back wall/speaker enclusure is finished. plan is to have two 6x9's in the back next to a 10" sub, amp will be mounted somwhere not sure as to where yet. box will be built to slide into/under the gate area and the front face will just be much larger than the actuall box to fill everything in nicely.

Looking pretty sweet with those 40s under their, cant wait to see some action pics!

shouldnt bee seein many action pics with the 40's dont think they will do as good as the 37's unless it comes to sheer clerance. otherwise they dont have nearly as much tread.None the less planin a wheelin trip for after the new years but typically dont get much for wheelin on that trip more or less a guys weekend at camp.

a little more progress tonight.
back to the spare tire. dicided against building a carrier and whiped together a strap to hold it down. not as nice as the store bought one's but it was next to nothing since ive had the strap for awhile and I dont think the tire is going anywhere saved a bunch of time, weight, material for fabbing yada yada yada

What was all that wiring to?
Rear defrost,washer, what else?

lets see If i can remember.....stuff no longer needed! hahaha J/k

best i can do here

starting at the drives kick panel and going around everything that was eliminated. most items had several wires going to them

Drivers door lock
drives door speaker
drivers seatbelt indicator
left rear door switch
left rear door lock
left rear power window
left rear speaker
4x4 harness and computer
gate washer
gate wiper
rearmost dome light
3 relays for trailer lights since it was equiped with a factory tow package, Since for was being so smart that day they decided to run 10 wires allthe way to the back for relays instead of mounting the relays up front and running 4 wire for the trailer lights
gate door switch
gate door lock
factory amp
right rear door lock
right rear power windo
right rear speaker
right rear door switch
passanger door lock
passanger door switch
passanger speaker

I'm sure i'm forgettting a bunch of stuff but thats the best I can remember
all speakers will be moved to the back gate and possiably in the center cousole. only door switch still being used is the drivers door figure the lights were horriable anyways and there is a flashlight next to both the drivers and passanger seat acessable from the rear doors as well.

sub and speaker enclosure built but will have to wait for pics since its past my bedtime

Rich? I am by no means rich!
i am a blue collar working stiff. live in a house i bought for a song as a forclosure and was able to afford to remodle making it my/our home. have a toddler that takes alot of my time and money. truck was not build overnight by any means. i save as much as possiable to blow it all on the truck. I live without alot of the niceitys to afford my hobby.... (no smart phone for me)

and racer. soon soon if nothing else i'm sure you'll be at spring opener right?

Merry Christmas to all.

santa brought some nice presents for me and the garage. nothing that will really help get the electrical and audio finsihed but still much appreciated. hopefully tonight will have all but two of the speakers in and the amp mounted. (still need to buy two more 6x9's)

all in all will end up with 4-5 1/4's pioneer's in the headliner (2 installed allready) and 4-6x9's in the back box. two 6x9's are lanzar optimax 500 watt peak with built in crossovers that i got a AMAZING deal on (bout 75% off) and two will be slightly lower end that I will pick up when i buy the main power wire later this week. they will be pushed by a 200 watt crossfire amp that i picked up yesterday. From everything ive read and what the guy settin up the audio says crossfire severly underrates there amps. He also put a gaurentee on all of it as his name will be on it and my truck draws ALOT of attention (cheap advertising?) I have learned in the past couple weeks how frustrating audio is to do properly, how everyone rate's there equip differently, and how many systems are actually set up impr operly. I would have never made it this far or had it sounding this good without the help of a good friend and owner of a local audio buisness. I have to say with just two of the 5 1/4s in it sounds ALOT better than it did when ther were in the doors. alot better "imaging". However I am Somewhat giving up and not running a sub due to lack of proper space. If I REALLY want one in the future i'll redo the box, I dont think that will be happening since the box is taking up most of the room behind the rear seats as it is. The only downside is with getting all the deals some of the stuff was used in his showroom so its not all spankin new... no grills for the 6x9's bummer

the 2 6x9's i currently have
