Kroussin 93 Explorer build

really need to look into an intake of some sort as i got the filter wet again this weekend. wish there was more on a snorkel that could be made to fit. dont really want to go with the plumbing parts again. but might not have any other option

Looks like you needed those trunks and boots. Lol

Dude, I'm loving your explorer. Seriously one of the most badass builds on here.

Also, that S10 earlier in the pictures is AWESOME. I've never really liked them much, but that truck is ****in' sick.

thanks. there are alot of VERY VERY good builds on here alot of them are way better than mine (in my eyes). I'm just doing what i can do with what I have and enjoying it along the way.

not much on the truck since the wheelin trip aside from a good wash and wax and once over. everything survived just fine. have a slow leak from one of the irok's but whats new.

emailed a guy locally about trading an old boat I have for a set of 37" MTR OZ's i know they arent the best tire but i'm willing to bet they have alot better road manners than the old spanked out iroks/trxus combo i'm running and they seem to be tough as nail's so they should last me good while. just have to drive a little better offroad and possiably winch more that's all. still planing on getting a set of new swampers this winter as long as everything else is still in good shape.

Hey just read you build thread. Im the guy you meet the other day at advance with the 2nd gen on 34's. Good looking rig man. Makes me want to pick up that 44 and 9 inch from Hinze lol.

sweet deal gotta get out and do some wheelin soon.

on a side note just picked up new tires and wheels
37x13 bogger and allied rockathon beadlock wheels

can believe not one persone noticed they are 8 lug.

normally everybody on here has a keen eye on the details like that

I have some 3/4 ton chev 10 bolt outters on the way and then i need to order up the adapters for the rear which are bout 300$. so its cheaper than building the 14 bolt that also came with the wheels and tires.

also going to order a spool for the rear and ditch the grizz locker. not happy with the road manners and would rather have it locked all the time. when it disengages and engages it is VERY harsh and has been smoking thru u joints like crazy.

picked up the front 8 lug stuff. just gotta strip out the axle they are on and go thru the bearings and stuff make sure all is A o K then get somemore jing to order up the rear adapters

havent worked on the 8 lug stuff a single bit but i did get the truck back in the driveway with the intentions of finishing the rear tire carrier and replacing yet another rear u-joint.

no joke i dusted off my tools today.

followed that by actually makin some progress on the tire carrier which should be done by the weekend.

aslo did a good underside inspection and found alot of little things to address.
1. rear axle drain is messed up, have hit so many rocks with it that the outside "protector ring" has been bent and smeered over the actual drain plug.
1.2. the front pinion support bolts are about half gone and smeered into the support (time for a pinion guard).
1.3 rear joint is smoked as i thought it was going to be from the sounds of things.
2. speed sensor retaining bolt backed out,
3.steering needs grease
4.from diff cover bottom bolts are smeered away
5.exhaust came out of hange AGAIN! need to weld a washer on the end of the hanger
6.need to cut some rubber to fill-in between the inner fender and frame to help keep mud out.
7. steerin stabalizer allready got tagged by a rock thinking about either adding some protection or relocating it.

ugh does it ever end? and then I still have a load of stuff i would like to upgrade

spare tire carrier is almost done should be all finished up tomorrow then off to get more stuff done on the truck
