well here is what i gathered from the fj80 liberty thing.
It started life as a fj80 fully loaded and was in a front end impact rollover accident. this guy ended up with it one way or another (or it was his to begin with IDK) and started spending an insane amount of time with it.
it is running yota axles front and rear that apear to be built tot the hilt. the motor was either swaped in or special order cuz he was makin a BIG deal about it (im not a yota guy so it was giberish to me) aparently it is pretty much a "big block" supra motor. all i can tell you is it reved to the sky and sounded SICK. this was his 3rd run with the truck and first with the new beadlocks and boggers. the front end work was awome and he did an awsome job on that however the half cab part was good but not nearly as good. lots of flat time with visable seams (ground down but visable). the thing walked alot of places early in the day at idle as time rolled on he started lettin the horses out and this thing ripped. it definately kept up with a couple of the more well built rigs and wasnt far behind the tube chassis comp rigs that showed up. the non-jeep tube buggy is 100% race preped and is said to be runing KOH 2013. he aparently allready holds several podium finishes in some comps in the midwest. but its all hearsay.
so here are a couple of the other pics i have of the land liberty thingy
and one of the other rigs that showed up.
it was BIG LOUD and SLLOOOOOWWWWWW!!!!!
not every day you see one of these out on the trails. kinda a wierd array of vehicles that showed up to say the least. i think the only thing missing was a trar.
needless to say he didnt make it across
