Picked up a big plate of 1/4" and some square tubing for $40 from my cousin. He's got a bunch of c channel for me to look at too

Applied for a new truck. Gonna be a DD/tow rig. 2000 f250 5.4l with 163k miles. No rust or dents. New ball joints, axle seals, hub, brake work, semi new battery and fresh inspection. Only real problems are its got some passenger side scratches, and a hole in the muffler. And she needs a bath. Plan to pick it up Friday evening.

Personally I would have gone diesel with an f250. Is that the 5.4 that falls in the years known to have spark plugs go through the hood?

Yeah its in the years that the spark plugs break off but they were changed not too long ago and I plan to keep them checked and changed every 20k miles

Its the heads, not the plugs. They are tapped into the aluminum and not into a steel sleeve. Be sure to use anti seize on them.

Same here?

You saying that reminded me I forgot to put it on the 4.0 plugs bc I misplaced the packet

Those 2v 5.4s aren't through ones that are notorious for breaking. Its the 05 and up 3v 5.4 that break sparkplugs just about time you change them. Its because of the shitty design of the plug.

Time for some better long arms.

I'm definitely gonna wrist the passenger arm and possibly extend them while I'm at it
