Hey new member here!

I have a 02 Ranger 3.0L automatic Flex Fuel with 180k miles.
I recently got my truck scanned at Auto zone for an unrelated issue (probably a parasitic draw) and although there was no check engine light, the guy told me I had two codes. Apparently, I have a knock sensor code (can't remember the code exactly) and suggested I change it and another code p0113.

I've been doing my Google's and have came up empty handed on both of them. So,I came here hoping someone is generous enough to point me in the right direction :yahoo:

The truck runs great but it does develop a rough idle at start up

Welcome to TRS :)

You need the EXACT code, no margin for error on that.
Engine computers are not smart but they are specific, so exact matters more than what you think it "said"

There is no knock sensor on a Ranger 3.0l Vulcan engine, 1991 to 2008

P0113 - intake air temp is showing high
Clean MAF sensor and have code re-set
MAF sensor has air temp sensor inside, a dual sensor

Hey Ron, thanks for the reply

So that code is related to MAF sensor? A couple days ago I had removed the air intake to change the air filter and forgot to reconnect the MAF sensor during reassembly. I quickly reconnected it after shutting the engine off.

As for the other code, I'll go back to AutoZone tomorrow and get it rescanned.
