I've hit this site many times for info so far. Hi people!
So, I've got a hand me down ranger, 5 speed manual, it has 280k+ on it (i already put at least a few thousand on it) I believe it's a little 4 banger since it keeps me from speeding (and I haven't actually looked)
The truck was originally bought new by my uncle's father, he was the only owner until he passed a couple years ago. My uncle gave the truck to my father and he gave it to my other uncle, within a few months it had been given to me. I have had the truck for over a year now.
What I have used the truck for is mainly scrapping, and day to day transportation. It has mostly been sitting the past month or so (I got so sick of the tires and I'm not comfortable with the kids in it with this "new" "imaginary" "clunk") but I've decided I'm definitely keeping it, so now I'm here. ? it'll be interesting I'm sure.

(If possible depending on how this sight is set up I may turn my Introduction post into a check list of sorts if that's okay.)
What the truck needs.
-1 shackle bracket
-New struts and or shocks?
-Probably gabriel Coil over load adjust for rear kinda lost on the front seat up?
-Ball joints?
Has a mysterious clunk my father seems to think is a useless body mount bushing.
-Could use a new bed (cut a hole for fuel pump access)
-Fuel pump or evac is a grump
-Needs a new fuel gauge (20miles per gallon I'm using the trip odometer)
-hub centric rings.
-Add a leafs (I flattened the existing ones a little, over a really hot weekend with a heavy load sitting in it)
-Bushings galore
-New bench seat or fix???
-Cracked dash, and missing nobs and things.
-New bedliner or patch this one. Meh.
What's been done
-1 shackle bracket
-The serpentine belt I believe has already been replaced
-I push a button on the dash for the horn
-Fuels a grump.
-Real tree interior roof lining
-Blacked out the bottom exterior (my father does this to any white vehicle he gets his hands on)
I want to paint the existing white a Matt hunterish green. And change the interior color eventually.
-Most Recent Escapade
I now have matching tires all around!
Bumped Up to 15s pulled from an 01 ranger sitting in the local jy! Ive got the original caps they all match so I'm happy. Went from three 14s, one went flat in three days always and 2 were mail truck tires on the rear (they were fun over the winter) and one random 15" that is now my spair. Now I need those hub spacers.
Any advice or knowledge is welcome. Please and thank you.

I highly recommend looking. and while you're under the hood check the oil & coolant!
