how hard to rig a kill switch to prevent theft:shok:

Not hard.

In the passenger side of the cab, just under glove box in foot well or behind kick panel will be the Inertia switch.
Inertia switch is a 12volt IN and 12volt OUT 30amp automatic switch, it supplies the power for the Fuel Pump.
It will OPEN in a sudden stop(accident) or a roll over, cutting power to the fuel pump for obvious safety reasons :)

You can add a 12volt 30/40amp relay to either of the two wires and a hidden switch to enable or disable relay and fuel pump power.

You could also use a 30amp rated toggle switch but I would only mount that switch under passenger side dash, out of sight of course, but also short wires, to prevent any possible shorts.

Best anti-theft system will use a timer circuit with the fuel cut off relay.
Usually a 1 to 5 minute timer that will cut fuel pump power if not turned off/reset

Reasoning for this type of system is location, location, location, lol.
If someone does get engine started to steal the vehicle they will start driving and get out on the street where engine will stall............out in public view, in the middle of the road.......................
They will "walk away" if they are professional thieves, "run away" if amateurs, lol, but either way they will not try to get it started again.

If thief can't get engine started where it is parked they may look for a kill switch or similar, and find it because they have the time to look.

I mounted a battery disconnect switch in the engine bay since I was not worried about the inconvenience. This solved a parasitic drain problem as well as a unresolved recall about a fire hazard in a wire of some sort.

This has never posed a driveability issue with the computer, at least not in the last 10 years.
