Kickpanel speakers

Anybody use kickpanel enclosures? Are they suitable for a daily driver, especially one that sees the winter? I was thinking about getting some and putting 6.5in subs in them.

ya thre alright just make sure to get thicker speaker grills so they arent damaged

agree, the less open space (meaning like smaller holes) the better.

so honey comb grill would be better than a billet style grill (if you understand that at least... it makes sense in my head)

So I should use one of the plain black steel grills, the "honeycomb" style? So am I to understand that those hold up better to daily use?

i think those will be the safest for the speakers.... the more of the speaker that is exposed (like this http://www.supplierlist.com/photo_images/143782/Speaker_Grill.jpg) the more likely it is that something could fall and poke out the cone, get kicked, more fragile = break, etc
