its a ix254 amp. any details? like i said all i want to do is power one ten with this.
""I have this amp's little brother and it runs my 10 inch MA Audio quite well""
so you think this amp would power a ten inch kicker sub just fine? i really dont want to buy a new one. this was given to me.
Thanks!
i had the 2 channel ix2302 ran 900 rms at 4 ohms. the impulse series are pretty old school lotta people lookn for em on caraudiotalk.com. they can help ya out alot over there too. not trying to take any glory from trs
The amp you are talking about comes up with the following numbers according to sonic electronix.
# 230 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms
# 720 watts RMS x 1 in bridged mode
# 360 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms
The amp the OP wants number on is rated at:
# 25 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms
# 65 watts RMS x 2 in bridged mode
# 35 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms
About 20% of the power at 4 ohms (460W max compared to 100W max @ 4 ohms). So I really don't think this amp Bassmaster is questioning was intended to run a subwoofer.
Here are the links I used for reference:

I guess I will just have to buy a new amp. Thanks for the help!
sorry i musta misread it i just scanned the peak power i guess. i believe kicker usually underrates there stuff a little bit.
