kickdown cable

how do u adjust the kickdown cable. mine has like 1inch of stick out after the spring and i can slide the spring up and down from where it hits the pedal.
 
You actually want the slack on the cable. Otherwise (depending on how it's adjusted) it'll be kicking down every time you touch the throttle or not even shift because the the cable will be holding the tranny back from shifting. If the case is that it won't kick down at all, try a quick "zip tie mod" Just put some zip ties on the cable between the pedal and the spring at the end of the cable. Don't overdo it!!
