Ahh kias arent that bad. They certainly dont quite compare to Honda or Toyota but they are decent enough. You get a whole lot of car for the money with a kia, plus you can't beat the warrenty they give you!
In 2005 my dad had a BMW 325ic, and the first time my mother drove it she hated it, so my dad went and got a new fully loaded Kia Optima Ex. It had every option available: V6, tiptronic transmission, leather, wood grain, infinity sound system, and the pearlesant white paint that was an optional extra as well. All that and it cost him under $15k.
As much as I wanted to hate that car it was actually really nice. It was comfortable, quiet, reasonably quick, and had some of the best brakes I've ever experienced on a mid sized sedan. It was seriously uncomfortable how quickly that car would stop once you put the brake pedal to the floor and the ABS kicked in. We owned it for a couple years and then sold it to my dads boss, and neither my dad nor his boss have ever expereinced trouble with it.
Now, as I say, they arent quite! up to Honda or Toyota standards quality wise but for the money you paid it was a great car. As I told my dad; the worst thing about that car was that it had Kia badges on it, and that was simply because of the reputation that Kia's have. That and they don't keep their value very well.
Thats pretty much my view on them!
