Greetings,
The keyless entry (key fob) quit working for my '97 Ranger.
Changed out the fob batteries and still no joy.
Tried my extra one that my wife carries and has worked in the past and still not working.
Looked for any fuses that might be bad, all still ohm out as good and no obvious corrosion.
Tried to reprogram the remotes and the on/off/on/off 8 times it doesn't cycle the locks like it has in the past.
I believe it's a factory system.

Anyone have any other ideas?

TIA
Dan

Hi

Please try changing a battery in Ford Ranger car remote. This usually helps. You can purchase a new or used car remote from our website - http://www.carandtruckremotes.com/index.html. We offer free shipping for batteries.

If you changed the battery and your Ford keyless entry remote still does not work, most likely you need a new remote. You can purchase a brand new or used good condition (B-stock) remote on our website. All remotes come with a 90 day money back policy. Please click on this link to our website below

I believe it's a factory system.

If it won't go into programming mode, a new remote won't code in.

You've checked the fusebox fuses, so a next step would be to check for power at the keyless module itself.

A lot of aftermarket systems mimic the factory appearance and operation (like programming mode). You can run the ID # on the remote on the FCC website, and check if it's a factory system, or which aftermarket system it might be. If aftermarket, it likely has an inline fuse, or possibly a failed wiring connection.

Good luck.

Any idea where to find this keyless module?
