Key Fob cases for 1995-1997?

Question:

The fob case for my 1995 Ranger broke a week or two ago... and I can't find a suitable replacement anywhere it seems. The best I could find was another used remote that wasn't busted (which I needed anyway, for my wife), but that doesn't really fix the one that is busted.

Are replacements available anywhere? All I want is the case, the electronics (and FWIW, the button pad) are still good.

Autozone sells all types of them. At the store by me they are at the counter. Just go in and look to see if one fits.

You can get new ones at Amazon and pretty low cost too. Check the number on the back and you can get one exact fit.

Nope, no bueno.

My remote looks like this:

which I was only able to see as a used remote.

All the cases were the newer, shorter style:

Which looks similar but based off my wife's 2003 taurus FOB, isn't a match (the cases is shorter/squarer).

Anybody know if the newer remotes are at all compatible with the older GEM?

The number on the back of the old one can be looked up in some of those. I replaced my older style to one from a car that has a trunk opening button that I didn't need but it worked for the doors.

What is the number on the back? I may be able to tell what works.

Couldn't come up with a replacement. There are new and used ones on ebay though.
