Hi I'm new to this page. I have a 1988 bronco 2 and I'm trying to get it driving but after 15 min or so it dies and won't start back up till it's cooled down about 30 min. I have replaced the ignition coil and the ignition coil module and still doing the same thing. Just looking for what it could be.

When it dies snort some starting fluid in it see if it fires. Thatll tell ya if its spark or fuel.

Im going to guess assuming you replaced the ignition coil and module you pry have a bad pickup coil inside the distributor

Thanks imma try that tomorrow and see what happens

Check the ECT sensor. If it failed reading cold it will keep the engine stuck in "choke" mode and when it warms up itll run too rich and die.

pickup coil in the distributer
