what do you think of the placement of my KC lights on the front bumber? Do they look out of place? Would it look better if I placed them facing down vs. up over the hood?
Thanks

They are more prone to damage on the trail being up top and exposed where you have them but it looks nice the way you have them now.

thanks, Ive been thinking of moving the down, however I would have to re-weld the bumper so I decided to ask the experst. Thanks for your advice.

I threw my KC slimlights on the front of the truck..

they came with lil plastic brush guards and do tend to get banged up a tad on the trail..

Id much rather have the setup you have but dont at this time have the equip to fab up the sweet bumper like that. So i like it id just leave it like that..

Oh and the lights on the top of the truck nice touch..

Very nice truck indeed!

I think you should put the lights facing down, they look kinda like bug eyes up high like that.

Very nice. I like your can and tire carrier setup.

As for the lights, I would definitely mount them down so that they aren't blocking any part of your vision.
A friend of mine I think got into trouble once because of a set of lights mounted like that (he fell into a huge washout on the right side of a trail that I had no trouble seeing). The other thing, lights mounted lower will also reveal much more detail in the road surface as well.

thanks for the replies.....what kind of rims are you running pickupman? those look good.
as for the advice from 4x4junkie....makes alot of sense, specially considering you probably know your off road knowledge well...
thanks for the kind words as well.

Those are the factory wheels on the 03 and up, what was fx4 level 2, now its a fx4 option.

now they are an option paired with skids and upgraded shocks and a locker in the rear. Along with an 8.8 with 31 spline axles..

As far as the wheels go they are made by Alcoa aluminum. the closest thing they sell to the public is something like this : http://www.alcoa.com/alcoawheels/north_america/en/fsw/driver/off_road/or_classicSeries.asp

Noice!

Noice. Plain old NOICE! I love the whole winch and bumper setup. That's what I wanna do with mine. What size tires are those?

i like the truck, but not a fan of the lights up top. to gawdy for me, but if it suits you, run with it

i believe sometime in the future I will change the light deal around and weld them down....thanks for all the replies and most of all, for the friendship that comes with a common interest....hope to see more posts from all of you and ad my two cents as I learn....however this place is awesome....give the website a 10 for the wealth of information pictures and ideas.
