Yeah in Ontario middle of nowhere I was getting pissed my door wouldn't unlock and eneded uup braking something inside.

simply put, if you stall in water, and you suspect it is from water intake, chances are, you're engine isn't pooched yet!

tow it out, pull all of your spark plugs, THEN turn it over for 30 or 45 seconds straight or so, put your plugs back in and start the engine up...

typically your engine stalls before it becomes hydrolocked, it's the trying to turn it over while there's water in the engine is where the damage comes from

yes i know that now haha. but the guy that pulled me out shouldve known at least, they all had big trucks im sure someone couldve gave me better advice than "start her up" lol oh well lesson learned the hard way!!

hey, funny story for you, so last friday i had a date, so i went, washed the truck, came home, shaved the cockstache, showered, whatever else... went out to jump in my truck, hit the unlock button... nothing, both doors stayed red put the key in the door, it turns both ways with no resistance! of course, door is still locked... pulled on it a little bit, nothing...

meanwhile i am supposed to be driving to this girls house to pick her up to get to the sushi place before they close! finally managed to get the passenger door open, had to crawl over the console and shifter then while i was driving up macleod the drivers door defrosted and flew open

So took my fog lights out to clean the lenses a little... the one that didn't work had a good inch of water in it.

Both fog lights have cracked lenses and the insides look burnt. Ordering new fogs.

I'm work Sunday. Free from 10-5 Monday and Tuesday though.

my fog light had that happen to me too. i was always wondering why i could never get the lens clean..and why the bulb kept burning out. it was halfway full of water, so i dumped it out, but mud was caked in there pretty good, so i baked it for 15 mins poped off the light cover and got her nice n clean. warmed it back up again and sealed it back up.

Though Friday, my plan is to go to te dentist and then maybe the shooting range (if I go, you're welcome to come)

Monday between 10 and 4 would be good. I'd love to go to the range but I'm working Friday.

Basshead I take it you kept your fogs on when going through mud holes too?

Big thanks to James for the use of a kitchen and getting the lenses off!!

Only painted one light for now to see how it would go. Hopefully have time tomorrow to paint the other one.

man, i woulda just masked them both off at the same time, then sprayed them both in one quick go... either way, that one looks pretty good!

I hated masking off the one I did, yet alone two. Hopefully I don't spend a whole day at ford tomorrow getting my door fixed so I can paint the other light and get them installed.

Its fubar from when I got locked out in Ontario. My passanger door only opens from the inside and won't unlock with a key.

oh yeah, you told me that... i can tell you how to fix that, i wouldn't bother going to ford... just go pick up a new lock motor! take probably 2 hours to install on your own, nigel can probably set you up...
