just for fun when i walked out of work last night, i hit the 4 ways, and walked back about 20-30 feet, they flash so bright it hurts my eyes...

here's a comparison, i am about 99% sure these are the black/clear ones i had, that are identical to yours



the other thing i realized is when you step on the brakes, your lights are on about 1/2 second faster, which means that the person behind you sees it 1/2 second faster, which means that they step on their brakes 1/2 second faster (maybe more if you take into consideration the change of reaction time due to the snap-on light vs the fade on of incandescent) and traveling at say, 100km/h 1/2 second is 43 feet of travel distance... which means that if you slam on your brakes at 100km/h and the car behind slams on the brakes at the instant your lights come on, traveling the same speed as you, with and without the 1/2 second difference will result in 43 feet difference between your bumpers when stopped...

maybe 1/2 second is modest... 1/4 second? still thats 22 feet... that's the difference between no damage and several thousand dollars... hell that could be the difference between a scratch on the bumpers, and hospital injuries...

Only problem to this math is you didn't add in the crappy drivers of Calgary.

Were the lights hard to install or were they just plug and play?

There's a little box you stick to your truck and pull your bulb out and plus in the connector on the lights into where the bulb goes and screw onto truck.

best bet for you would be to get them apart here, then you can paint them at your convenience, you said you had spares right? they will take a day or two to dry...

Buying a 3" BL off my buddy in two weeks when he gets back home.

Truck well need new tires by the end of summer, hoping I can find and install a 8.8 with 4.10 gears before then so I can go up to a 33" tire.

No fx4. The guy couldn't give me enough on trade to cover what I owe. So if I can sell mine for more then 12000 I can have it paid off and pick up the fx4 for about 9500.

Its a sport.. wanna buy it haha.
