K&N air charger kit - OBD code issues

... kn filters are not.

Be careful, the drop-ins just substitute existing paper element in stock CAI.

Some custom K&Ns, which also replace the intake tube, actually are aftermarket CAI. They are usually the only ones I've seen that can demonstrate HP increase at high RPMs on limited makes/models.

That said, I don't advocate K&Ns, they are largely a marketing gimmick.

The only way its a cold air intake is if it actually is getting cold air.

Anything that replaces your intake tube but still leaves a big-ass cone filter under your hood, sucking up HOT air from your engine compartment, is not a cold air intake.

On the other hand, the stock intake pulls air from the front corner of the car, behind the headlight, OUTSIDE of the engine compartment. You know, where cold air is...

Ya smart ass, I know where cold air is:

Again, I don't support ANY K&N replacement for street use.
