jwsewell's 1984 Reg. cab

I got the Explorer 8.8 installed along time ago. LOL!!! I had to flare the bedsides so the tires wouldn't rub.

Got a couple other things done too!

Banging stereo and a 4th order bandpass blowthrough with a single 15 inch sub.:headbang:

And a sniper nitrous system to ensure some 12 second timeslips. :icon_thumby:

I have yet to use the nitrous.....:annoyed:

opps! I forgot the pics! Here are some of the sub enclosure and the rest of the stereo.

4th order bandpass with a single 15 inch sub getting 450-500 watts.

amps and 8x10 blowthru port, yeah I know its dirty.

I will get some pics of the nitrous installed tomorrow.

sweet 84!! I'm getting ideas for mine now haha. And I have the same problem with the alternator not running enough juice to things, I turn on the turn signal and the needle on the amp gauge moves just a little bit lol, and wipers suck unless im driving, at idle they barely move

I dont know how that 7.5 ever handled the 302.. even if it was an oldie w less HP. I got the same engine and trans out of a 79' T-bird. Doesnt look like much but its in the shop gettin a resto right now ;) My eng was breakin balancers left-right- n center and whole lower end was shot, but i gotta stick with the nostalgia powerplants, I love that FMX! Any troubles with space issues or front accesory mounts? Im havin a hard time finding things for this ol boy.

For heaven's sake. Get that power steering hose off the exhaust header. Needs to have as much clearance as possable to keep the heat down. It will boil the power steering fluid and bake the pump.

NOW WITH PICS!! :yahoo:

But the camera SUX! :icon_rofl:

I had a gremlin surface today on the way home from work.
Something is causing the ignition to cut out for very short spurts and at very random intervals. Was just driving down the road and it was like I turned the ignition switch off. Gonna have to track this lil' electrical gremlin down.
probably a wire either loose or pinched. I had a prob. like that. gave me fits ,just run when it wanted. It ended up being an ignition wire had rubbed behind where your batt is. on my truck the TC air breather is there. I taped it up and never had another instance. They are harder to find than to fix. Nice truck BTW

where did you get the bracket on your card for the aod tv cable.ive been looking for one

wow only 18 posts and he already is truck of the month! imagine what he'll do when he hit's 100 posts haha

Fuel cell and intank 255 lph pump

Been working on installing an RCI 16 gallon fuel cell and can between the rear frame rails.

I cut and welded a copy of Speedway Motors fuel cell bracket from 1x1 1/8 wall mild steel tube. :icon_welder:

The Speedway Motors bracket below.... (The picture shows the RCI cell mounted)

Here are pics of my fuel cell bracket bolted in the truck with the can fitted...

Here are a few pics of the DW200 pump and DIY slosh tank.......

The return line will fill the smaller side of the tank then spill into the side with the pickup screen. I think......:icon_thumby:
