I had a 2000 mod XLT 2,5 Ranger for about a year.
The ranger was a cool car, but there was always some fixing going on.
With my girlfriend just moved in, we need a car that can pull a horsetrailer too.
And 2wd can be fun during the hard norwegian winter, but not usefull.

So I traded it for a 2008 Isuzu D-Max 3.0 doublecab.
Did a good roadtest with it this weekend, and I've got to say, I'm happy :)

So, A ford truck is not good? A car for towing in the snow?? I guess you willl be leaving the site now? No Ranger? No guts, no glory....lol

We tried and tested different cars, all with 4wd, doublecab, pickups.
This is Norway and our marked, not many Ford trucks over here fits our needs.

As I said, my old Ranger was a cool truck, but it had too many problems. 2wd didn't cut it, and it couldn't pull a horsetrailer (or any trailer above 1050 kg).

Thanx to everybody on this forum that have helped me solving problems :)

You guys have a really neat Toyota truck over there that comes with huge fender flares and it is an artic truck. It comes with a lift kit and tall tires and it is really a really neat truck. Did you look at the Toyota trucks? I can't remember the name of it. A buddy of mine in the army was over there last year and he showed me some photos of the truck they used while they were doing training. It was wicked and I would love to have one of them.

Yeah, we tried a Toyota Hilux. It didn't have enough leg room for me. Even with the seat adjusted all the way back and steeringwheel adjusted up, I couldn't find a good driving position. The D-Max has plenty of space, it's got a stronger engine and can carry heavier loads than the Toyota.

BTW: you can get Artic Truck styling to most pickups, not only Toyota ;)
