BUMP MYSELF.......I will get to working on the Ranger...just a matter of getting up the courage....I been thinking a lot this time of year about my son Blake & his birthday.........it wears me out.....along with all the garbage my Government is up to....

We should start a fund to get the '36 all gassed up and driving that banner back to the east coast...preferably Delaware. That'll make ya feel better!


We can call it "DG's empty-pockets-thanks-to-our-government-not-caring-for-our-vets fund"


Edit: Saturday I was at Sonic and a couple vets had a booth set up in the shopping center. Their sign said "Respect our vets: Impeach Obama" Make me think of someone from TRS.

UPDATE: I did manage to get out there .........fix a trans/cooler line leak.....and do a way past due brake job....the Ranger's going on a 2 day trip to the Miss-sippi gulf coast....now where's my camera????

Today is the Miss-sippi Gulf Coast trip.....the camera battries is charged!

I thought I'd post a couple pics before the trip starts.....checking the engine area on a '36 looks a little different than on an '06.....

I change the oil filter & add a qt. of oil halfway between oil changes to keep the oil workin good...

oooooops.......wrong pic.....I was mocking up the cold air intake.....

So Doorgunner, how's life? Life is great....but drunks/politicians/Illegals SUCK! What's up? Heaven! What's new? The oil filter on the '36/the front brakes/the bottle of drugs that the V.A. sent me registered mail....

I was just checking to see if I did anything on the truk in the last week......


NOPE !


But the P/S pump just wasted the shaft seal...looks like I'll be putting in a baaaaarand new pump in the morning....

awwwwww shucks....all that loose wiring hanging will have to wait a little longer........chuckle/chuckle.....


UPDATE: kinda good news....the steel tubing on the pressue line was chafing against the steering box during accelleration...it finally wore thru & was spraying fluid all over the P/S pump...I yanked the damaged line out...cleaned the pin-hole for welding....

welded the bad spot up...naturally, I forgot to take a pic of the welded area......tie-wrapped some transmission hose over the affected area...re-installed the pressure line.....everything's dry again!!!!
