O.K..................back to the subjex..........since I need the Ranger all this week, I gonna NOT do the ring/pinion swap yet.

Instead...I took a keyhole saw & started cutting into the dash....yep I know it's the rong spot for a radio...but the cab is so narrow inside that I don't even have to lean over to change the station...WAAAAAAAAAaaahahahaaaaa


Step 1. Cut hole right size/wrong spot.

Step 2. Look at all ducting/A.C. hoses & sigh.

Step 3. Don't worry about Step 2 yet.....keep on cutting.

Step 4. knock-out loose piece of dash.

Step 4. See if ralio fits....nope.....file hole till ralio fits.....yep.

Step 5. Slide ralio inot...into ralio hole. Phtootograph it.

Step 6. Git rench & loosen A/C hose j-u-u-u-st enuff to swivel fitting outta the way. Gotta go do dat.

Walton & Johnson for President/V.P.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(every week they could trade offices)

Even though I disagree with their "off-color-language & sexual inuindos over the 'hair-waves' (that's as close as i culd git on the spelling)......the two of them have more common sense than all of Congress combined!!!!

I can't remember, and ain't in the mood to go back thru my posts to see if I did (a rant).

So lets start over.........(disclaimer: This in no way is the Opinion of T.R.S....but it is MY OWN OPINION......none of this is aimed at the hard-working green-card immigrants who live in the U.S., or those who are legally trying to become U.S. Citizens......even though I could veriy easily develop a hatred for all Mexicans because of what happened to my son, Blake)

Today, as in the recent past, the National "Media" is in Arizona trying to stir up as much feces as possible (later on, as things develop, the media will choose a side). They interviewed a local sheriff, and he said he would be more than willing to enlarge his TentCity jail to accomodate any protestors who broke the law.....NOW THAT"S A SHERIFF PEOPLE!

The "MEDIA" also forgets to mention the fact that 35,000 AMERICAN CITIZENS HAVE BEEN MURDERED WITHIN OUR OWN BORDERS IN THIS DECADE BY ILLEGAL ALIEN TERRORISTS...THAT'S MORE THAN OUR MILITARY HAS LOST IN COMBAT SINCE THE END OF THE VIET NAM WAR!!!!!!!!! SO.....WHERE IS THE MEDIA OUTRAGE?? FOOLS...PARASITES!!!

I stated in another forum that......had I received 1/10 of the help as the Kennedy family received when J.F.K.Jr. crashed his plane into the ocean a few years ago.....the murdering Mexican that fled while my son lay dying, would already be in prision watching his favorite program on free cable t.v.

But I digress......It's not just President Obama who is out of touch with reality, but Presidents and Congress for generations who have done nothing but shift blame/find "rabbits" for us to chase while they distract us "easily distracted" citizens from the basic problems that could have been solved long ago.

I, too, had no idea of how bad the ILLEGAL ALIEN problem was in this Country until midnight November 18th, 2006....when the sheriff informed us of the events of our Son's death.

I did my duty as a Doorgunner in the Viet Nam war. I was told to protect the Interests of the United States, and I DID!

Now, my Government, which I obeyed....(even though I saw no need to kill the people of North Viet Nam)......has abandoned my son, and my family. I watch foolishness and stupidity escalate daily on the National news, with no end in sight.

Does a full fledged BORDER WAR have to break out to have something done about the murderous illegals entering this Country....or do the Illegals need to fly in on National Airliners to be noticed and dealt with?????? Will the U.S. Military be sent to fight against it's own citizens, rather than the Illegal criminals IF A BORDER WAR does break out between American Citizens and illegals/Drug cartels/ETC.? (Don't say it can't happen....even if by them misunderstanding the situation, I know what foolish men in My Government are capable of).

In a way, I am perplexed by what our Government is allowing to happen. But I must state that the Government, Itself, is not Evil.......only the men who run it are the Evil Empire (Ronald Reagan did over-look one area of the problem).

There is much more I have to say, but I will condense it all by paraphrasing an ancient Jewish Document......"Because they have refused to honor God, and refused to keep his laws.....they have become a Law unto themselves. For this Reason, God, himself, will cause them to stumble at noon-day, and cause them to make decisions like DRUNKEN MEN !!!!!!!!


I have had the priviledge of living in the greatest Nation on the face of the Earth....but I am afraid that I will live to also see the collapse of the greatest Nation on the face of the Earth.

it's just about ready for the file...........

yep..............15 minutes of filing...i file s-l-o-w.........

All that's left is to clean up all the dust & remove the black markings from the paint/bolt the radio & A/C controls in place/raise the A/C unit back into place.......

Right there with you brother. Sorry to hear about your son. Mine's currently a US Marine now. I just wish he hadn't re-upped last year. the way things are going now.

Me too! No American should be allowed in a combat zone more than ONCE in their life....(yea...I know what has happened in past wars.....that still doesnt make it right)

I actually believed that my Soul aged 30 years even though I was in a combat zone 18 months....only 12 months of doorgunning though.

Maybe one day this nation will realize our children don't need to die in a foreign country for a barrel of oil...........or.........maybe not.....

Here's the deal......I haven't eaten in a week....Viet Nam related problems....I go to the V.A. Clinic tomorrow to get some kind of AGENT ORANGE test---which I have been putting off for 25 years(I've always had enuff war stuff to deal with without adding more!)....haven't felt like working on the Ranger....so it'll sit un til the medical tests are done...

Here's the deal......I haven't eaten in a week....Viet Nam related problems....I go to the V.A. Sit down so you don't fall down and I'll tell you a funny story.........

I went to my V.A. appointment......after 3 hours of IN&OUT of exam rooms....they told me that I would have to be assigned a specific set of medicals tests concerning my stomach & intestines....Good news---Right???........WRONG.....(remember--I haven't eaten a bite in 7 dazes).........Welllllllllllllllllllllllllllll......they told me the first appointment I could get to be tested was in SEPTEMBER!....................

sINCE i'M USED TO THINGS LIKE THIS COMING OUT OF THEIR ......UHHHHH.....mouths......I walked out/walked back in as a walk-in patient.......the next doctor who saw me didn't know what the previous doctor had said......My new doctor made a phone call & I get tested this coming Monday!!!!!!!!!!

So.......I only gotta go 3 more days without being able to eat......instead of 45 more days !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
