Just Plain Stupied


Hey DG, got the whole gang together for a group pic for your build thread:

But yeah, I'm with smokeater, you have done way more to that truck than I could dream of accomplishing. I'd have given up about 2 days into it.
 
my 5.8 is a 351m and every other 5.8 i saw was a 351 like windsors and cleveland, and i also have a spare 2.9 and 5speed trans with transfer case..:icon_welder:

This would be a 5.8L Cologne.

Thanks for the group pic....now I can put a face to anyone who replies....makes me feel like one of the gang.....cept I think I got more facial hair....this is great!!!!!!!!!!!


EDIT: Honduras is obviously the one facing the wrong way.......

RE-EDIT: The O/Drove.../drove..../grive.../drive (there...got it right that time) is finally de-bugged......2500 rpm at 60 mph with 25" diameter tires on the OEM 3:21 rear end....when I wear them out, I'm gonna put 28's on the rear---that oughta drop the rpm's down to 2200 at 60mph....now it's time to burn a tank of gas & check the mpg's....

EXCELLENT! That was one tough problem, but you persisted. Were you a tranny mechanic once upon a time, or just a digger-dog? more likely a police dog: once you get your teeth onto a perp's arm, you just clamp down and grind away.

For someone who claims "drain bamage," you sure are good at problem solving! The right half of your brain is fine, the left half perhaps needs some work. Try a canvas and some paints perhaps? The neighbors side of your garage could be a place to start a mural? .......ha ha ha :icon_twisted:

Aim for 1700RPM at 50/55MPH for best gas mileage. And be careful with that overdrive and those wings-of-fenders you have. After about 90, you should be airborne with only a bare minimum of rubber touching the road. You may need a rear pop-up spoiler......:icon_welder:

Coyote....I think you're correct about the truck aerodynamics (big word)...I need to add at least 100#s to the frame (also still need to have it weighed....100#s might not be enough)...
