Just Plain Stupied

Im running the same, well very similar carb, as you re so I may re-look over what you have done and try it. I have to get my carb at Holley's "starting point" before I can really do anything but due to the rain, cant do to much.

Heres a link to what I will be using as a guide.

Don't bother connecting the secondary linkage DIRECTLY to the primary linkage..............there is too much of a bog/hesitation wne you floor it....

but I can deal with the bog because the take-off is so good---I don't have to floor it....

Mine is currently vaccum controled and I will be leaving it that way. i would like to be able to get my carb adjusted first though, the rain is keeping me from doing that today so thats tomorrows job.

Also forgot to ask, are you running a 7.5 rear end and if so, how is it holding up to the 350.

good idea....leave it vacuum operated......(the mechanical linkage conversion works for me...but i'm on meds...LOL)

yep......7.5 rear end.....and I don't do burnouts just because of the 7.5....with all 4 barrels operating at the same time, I have to be VERY VERY easy on the accelerator when taking off---or it will lite em up (even with all 4 jets reduced so that it's running lean on the O2 sensor readings----when it was running off the two primary barrels, half throttle would lite em up)....

I want the 7.5 to last since I put 2.93-something gears in it for highway cruising....(I'm sure that I could twist the axles off, but there's no need for it...LOL)

Oh Your God !!!

2 weeks for me to read thru this entire thread.
I've been meaning to read it for over a year...or whenever I got a round tuit, but impatience made me read it anyway.

My first thought was "Man, you need to get a hobby !!"
My second thought was....."I like how the grill is 2 feet shorter than the OEM grill."

Great work on the truck DG! It looks awesome!
Keep on keepin' on !! :icon_thumby:

:icon_rofl: You should have said something sooner....I would have mailed you a bottle of ADVIL to help with the eyestrain & headaches!

(Are you gonna sign the new TRS BANNER when it gets to your area....it's a few hundred miles north of you in Canada!)

Not a problem...I have reading glasses for the eyestrain, and Tequila for the headaches.
I hadn't noticed that there was a new Banner on the move, but yes, if, as, and when it get to my part of town I'll be sure to sign it.

Now I have to go look see where that banner is at the moment.
