Just Plain Stupied

Got bed/fenders painted & fenders c-clamped on /it'll all have to come off when it's time to get the cab painted.
The parts will go on & come off several times during the build to make sure everything will fit together
(for example: the rear fenders are c-clamped to the bed...I can't drill holes & mount them right now because the front fenders have to be installed first (what!?)
Running boards have to be connected to the front fenders.....then the rear end of the running boards get connected to the rear fenders....
then the entire body has to be adjusted forward or rear-ward slightly on the chassis to center the tires on the fender wells
(the back fenders being more important since they would show up more if they weren't centered well)

Edit: Not sur if I'm gonna leave that license plate there....everybody bumps it when they go around that side of truck
it also has about 6" of clearance between top of rear tires and lip of fender with Ranger chassis sitting at oem ride height.
I don't want to slam it/don't want a 4X4 look either/probably gonna adjust the suspension to get an inch or two clearance above the tires...
I gotta do somtnin with that tail-pipe (behind the right-rear part of the fender) too....dual exhaust maybe.

Cool! Any more info? Is this an original body or one of those kits?

It's a plastic* (fiberglass) SUPERcab:headbang:!
I wanted a cab big enough to stow suitcases, groceries, tents, cooler, etc. behind the bucket seats
(an original cab barely had enough room for two people & a happy meal!:icon_rofl:).
They ain't cheap though, but it's what I wanted for a looooooong time.
If you're a tall guy, the SuperCab is for you--lotta leg room....and the seats wiil lay back for a snnap(snooze/nap)

Got rid of the single tail-pipe in pic #16
/lowered chassis at back bumper by about 5"
/flipped spring hangars
/removed overload leaf from spring-pack
/added harley davidson exhaust pipes to get the exhaust sound right
I accidently ordered the long bed kit instead of the short-bed kit (V.A. meds)...BUT, it worked out just right...
I was able to keep the spare tire in it's original location because I didn't have to cut off any of the rear chassis rails...also, I didn't have to use shorter leaf springs!
I will be able to carry the Harley in the bed without the back wheel of the harley resting on the tailgate!!

Getting dash ready for gages/installation
(already cut holes in the dash for gages this morning)
gonna get a radio b4 cutting that hole in lower dash.
I won't cut out the glove box hole until I see how the behind-the-dash A/C is gonna fit.

Being a rookie at posting, I'm Trying To Get All Pictures In One Big Pile Instead Of Having To Click On Ten Different Threads
(did I Say That Right? It's Rough Being A Newbie & Having Brain Damage Too!)

Thanks for the encouragement guys :icon_rofl:

no problem, trucks looking good. and it looks like you have the picture posting thing down.

no need to capitalize every word though...drives some people nuts :D

Day-time pic
I took a screwdriver & pried the cap lock key off the lap-top to avoid too much capitilization
--thanks for the info

Edit: I just noticed all the rolls of wire on the dash...now why would I want to add more wire!!!!
