oh yeah. its sitting outside the shop waiting for the lift so i can do the trans. she made the 15 mile journey no problem.

thats twice now this thing has done the unthinkable.

blown motor drove it home 20 miles no rpblem. now blown trans and made it here.

i love rangers.

Dash looks really good! The seats in my truck matches it and would look good in there...

*************UPDATE********************


Trannys out. Some good news and bad.

Good news is, it came out pretty easy. About an hour and a half laying on my back.

Bad news, somehow the tranny must have gotten water in it. The fluid is all very VERY light pink. I had dropped the pan and did a filter and fluid change on it. But i forgot to drain the converter before i put it in.

Somehow in the time it sat, it must have gotten water in the converter. And that was its cause of death.


Happy note. New parts are put on the new trans. Gonna do the front and rear seal tomorrow. Clean up underneath, and slap it in. And take it for a cruise.

I will upload all my pictures tomorrow. Even got my new seat frame built for my new seat im installing.

ok, ill get a vid as soon as i get find my video camera.



trans is great. nice smooth shifts. the other one definantly was holding the engine back. its alot smoother and quicker.


i ended up running the exhaust lightning style because the dumps were giving me a headache when cruising. pics to come as soon as i get some tips on it.


i installed a new seat. had to make custom brackets but thats no big deal for me. MUCH MORE COMFY.


still have a few bugs to sort out. leaving work today it blew a rear brake line but i fixed that in the parking lot.


soon to come,

New front tires.

A fresh coat of black epoxy primer.

New speakers.

I noticed the manual foot pedal is still there, future plans on piutting a manual in?
