just plain stupid, doing a sbc swap w/blackwidow

Boo Yah

Finally some info that helps. sorta. My cuzin's buildin a 383 stroker s10 4x4 and I guess only certain tranny have same BH bolt pattern as 350/305. For a long time i was under the influence they ALL had same bolt pattern. Including 2.8's(due to very unreliable resource being presumed to be relaible)
sounds awesome I like the tires shredding action. You gotta get some melters!

DG: I looked at your build Its awesome you do some good work!!!

yeah dgs truck is the cats ace. but yeah thanks for the info jay. im not gonna do a manny right now. funds are tight, and i already have the auto.

but my attention turned to my first baby. my 1962 impala. i wont bore you with the story, but for 3 years ive been doing a motor swap, well one thing lead to another, and i never finished it. well 2 weeks she'll be driving. i just finished my cam swap. and my exhaust. and my trans mount. she'll be roaring very soon. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

we don't want you doin any accidental Off-Roading...Waaaaaaaaaaahahahahahha

nah, im not gonna abuse her. shes my baby. i just wanna drive her ya know. considering i took a whole day just to swap a camshaft out yesterday, im not gonna pounce on her too much, lord knows what happened to my ranger:annoyed:

and its a good thing i descided to do the cam, even though the engine has about 70,000 on it, the timing chain was wiped. but the cam and the lifters showed no wear at all. must be the many oil changes that thing has seen:D cant kill a good chevy:icon_thumby::icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

The '36 Ranger had a slight prob........wouldn't start......I checked e-v-e-r-ything...........
I guess letting the water dry outta the wiring did the trick.....it fired up just like the old days about 2 hrs. ago....Waaaaaaaaaaa

Wile it was runnin, I dumped half a can of Seafoam in the gas tank & poured the rest slowly down the brake vacum hose.....it's amazing how much one of those brake boosters can hold.....:icon_surprised: (waaaaa--just kidding.....).....

The thang idled about 100 rpm higher after taking a ggod 5 minutes to let the running engine suk up the half can of seafoam....:icon_surprised:

The engine cranks over bout 1 turn & starts now.......:icon_bounceblue:

Maybe I'll assemble the 4-piece hood tomorrow and bolt it on (unless God got different plans)

Dr. says my wife is doing better today (50......o-u-c-h......stitches & 50 staples)

:icon_surprised:......................:icon_surprised:.....................:icon_surprised:

EDIT: Ranger not cranking again today......i got the injectors ticking LOL...but fuel pump is "LAZY".......

SBC is kinda resting while truck is being put together....

Parts Parts He He He He He We Love Parts Hahahahaha

So.....what did'st thou find at the Nationals, son of man?

The Chevy engine is big compaired to a 302.I think you will run into issues with the clutch linkage too.
Sell the 350,and buy a 302.I think you will be more happy with a SBF.
BTW,Putting another brand engine into a vehicle is just plain wrong!lol

dude, i dont know if your joking, but if your not, dont post crap like this. the 350 chevy is an 1 1/2 inch narrower than a 302. and sell it and buy a 302, you dont know me, you dont know what i can do, you post this stuff before knowing what i want out of my truck.

IM NOT DOING A SBF IN MY RANGER. LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!!!!!
